SolarEdge a leading global smart energy technology provider, has announced its DC-optimised solar solution has been chosen to supply clean, renewable energy for 11 schools in Coventry and South Gloucestershire. Funded by grants from the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme, the rooftop PV systems are forecast to produce combined annual energy savings of more than £194,000 and reduce carbon emissions by 298 tonnes.

Ørsted has announced a multi-million pound agreement to be the first and lead customer for monopile foundations manufactured at the planned UK facility of SeAH Wind Limited, a UK-based subsidiary of SeAH Steel Holdings (SeAH). The deal, subject to securing a Contract for Difference and Final Investment Decision (FID) for Hornsea Three offshore wind farm, plays the leading role in triggering the production of monopiles in the UK for the first time.

The risks of climate change now need little introduction. We are already starting to live with the impacts of a changing climate on communities, businesses and supply chains. The most recent Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report delivered the unnerving news that we now have less than a 9-year window to act on climate and limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius.
