UK: Scientists look to tap into tidal power

As the world looks towards a future fuelled by renewable energy, the race is on to develop cutting-edge sustainable technology.

And one area that is still in an experimental stage is how best to turn the energy of our oceans into electricity.

Al Jazeera’s Nick Clark reports from the Shetland Islands, off the coast of Scotland, where the powerful seas provide the perfect conditions for testing wave and tidal power.
