New pump sales engineer

Electro mechanical engineering specialist HOUGHTON INTERNATIONAL has appointed Chris Weston as its new pump sales engineer. Highly experienced with an excellent track record within the pump industry, Chris will support the existing pump services team as it continues to develop its service offering to reflect the evolving needs of the market. Offering hands on technical sales support, Chris will work with customers throughout the UK providing responsive solutions to their maintenance issues and pump needs.

Chris Robson, sales director at Houghton International, commented: “Since the launch of our Pump Services department last year, we have continued to invest in our pump facilities and, just as importantly, our people to continue to provide innovative solutions for our customers. Chris is the perfect fit help support the development of our pump services team and provide real added value support to our customers.

Chris has spent much of his career working with pumps and I am confident his skills and experience in this area will strengthen our capabilities.”

Starting his career as an electromechanical engineer for the British Army, Chris has worked in both power and pumps for over 22 years. Working both here and abroad, Chris has worked on a range of jobs involving the commissioning, installation, servicing and repair of a wide range of pumps.

Independent of the OEM’s, Houghton International also supply new pumps and spares and offer on-site support and condition monitoring for a full range of rotating machines, including electric motors and generators. Houghton International ensures that all work is carried out to the highest standards and fully tested prior to reinstallation, providing performance analysis and pump curves for added assurance. All testing is carried out in accordance with BS EN ISO 9906-2000; API 610 or customers’ specified standard.
