Clyde Training Solutions (CTS) is a fully accredited and approved OPITO Training Centre, offering offshore safety and survival training courses for those working in the oil and gas sector, from its base in Glasgow. OPITO is the global, not-for-profit, skills body for the energy industry, and the focal point for training and workforce development within the oil and gas industry. In 2016 Glasgow-based CTS became the 200th OPITO certified training centre worldwide, and the first of its kind in Scotland outside Aberdeen, providing a range of courses that prepare offshore workers for emergency scenarios that can occur in their industry. Courses provided included BOSIET and MIST – for beginners entering the industry, FOET (often referred to as BOSIET refresher), HUET, Helideck Operations Initial Training (HOIT), Offshore Emergency Response Team Member (OERTM & FOERTM), Helideck Emergency Response Team Member (HERTM & FHERTM), CAA Radio Operator, Escape Chute Training and Shoulder Width Measurement.
