Engineering company achieves RoSPA Award

A leading product designer, manufacturer and global supplier of fire, blast and heat hazard protection solutions - Mech-Tool Engineering (MTE) – has been awarded with one of the UKs most prestigious Occupational Health and Safety Awards.
The Darlington based firm has achieved an Order of Distinction award in the annual scheme run by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).
MTE started entering the annual scheme in 2000, and this highly acclaimed award comes in concession of the company receiving this accolade year on year with now 17 consecutive Golds as it continues to achieve exemplary health and safety standards.
Speaking about the prestigious award, George Hodgson, head of Governance compliance at MTE said: “We are delighted to have secured this accolade for another consecutive year which is true testament to our all-encompassing health and safety processes adopted at every level of the business.
“Health and safety is at the forefront of everything we do and we are proud to have received recognition for this in achieving the RoSPA Order of Distinction.”
Now in its 61st year, the RoSPA Awards scheme is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas. Entrants’ overarching occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement are all taken into consideration by judges.
