Maintenance for new turbines

Published:  15 September, 2016

gallery_220_220_DW_Offshore_0213.jpgDeutsche Windtechnik has announced it will be providing full maintenance for the Buchonia wind farm in Rhon (Hesse). The contract has a term of 20 years and includes all maintenance, service work, upgrades and repairs. If necessary, the company will also restore total write-offs and repair rotors and large components of the nine Senvion 3.2M turbines. Deutsche Windtechnik says the new project makes it the first manufacturer-independent service provider in the world to take over the complete service for a wind farm from the day it goes into operation.

Deutsche Windtechnik says its deep understanding of this technology allows it to provide manufacturer-independent services to operators, investors and project developers as early as the design phase and during the tender and this fosters a more competitive atmosphere because operators can now choose between maintenance services provided by the manufacturer from the very beginning or by an independent company.
