Human Factors in health and safety

Major accidents, including Texas City and Buncefield , have reportedly highlighted the importance of managing human factors in the safety performance of a business. Yet many of those responsible for managing human factors have no formal training in the human and behavioural sciences.
IChemE and the Keil Centre report they have addressed this gap, with modular human factors training to meet the needs of the process industries. Human Factors in Health and Safety examines the core human factors issues and how to manage them to improve safety performance. Registrations are now being taken for the 2016 programme - courses@icheme.org.
