Current measuring transducer

Published:  05 November, 2015

Weidmuller_ACT20C_Transducer.jpgWeidmüller reports it has introduced a new current measuring transducer - the ACT20C - to the market. To operate large applications efficiently, users need to have constant information about the current status of devices and their functions.

Wind power installations are said to be ideal candidates for the ACT20C. Wind farms are often situated in remote locations on land and at sea, so on-site maintenance isn’t always possible. The company says with the transducer, it is possible to implement more effective monitoring and observation from a distance contributing to a reduction in equipment ‘wear and tear’.

Configuration takes place through the ACT20C gateway with users gaining a complete overview of all process parameters via Ethernet. The gateway is fully operational at a wide range of temperatures opening up a world of opportunity.
