Orders of ultra-rugged tablets

Xplore Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ: XPLR), manufacturer of fully-rugged and ultra-rugged tablets, reports it has secured additional purchase orders of approximately $2.3 million for its iX104 ultra-rugged tablets from a leading natural gas provider, bringing the total amount purchased by the customer to approximately $4.3 million.
The ultra-rugged tablets are being used by field service technicians and site supervisors for pipeline measurement at construction sites and during pipeline inspections. Xplore says its devices were selected for their ultra-rugged construction, best sunlight readability in the market and high-accuracy global positioning system—common requirements needed in the electrical, gas and water markets.
